About the client
BOBAN PROJECTCAD (BPC) is a structural design office in Karlovac specialising in the structural detailing of steel structures and in technical documentation for fabrication and installation. It works as an external CAD and engineering partner for steel structure manufacturers: it takes on a complete project or steps in when they need extra capacity.
Its services cover 3D CAD modelling, technical documentation (shop, installation and assembly drawings with material and part lists), development of structural solutions, changes and revisions to existing models and drawings, and external CAD support. The office works in HiCAD and focuses on the German, Swiss and Austrian markets; all projects so far have been for the German market.
Challenge
BPC looks for clients in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, so the website had to speak German as well as it speaks Croatian, and show a German steel fabricator within seconds that this is an office that understands shop documentation.
The service is highly specialised: structural detailing, 3D models, shop and installation drawings. It had to be described in the language of engineers and fabricators, without generic phrases. Before the first enquiry, a client wants to know what they get, in what order and in what form. The website also had to support hiring: the office is looking for designers, so applications and CVs had to arrive without back-and-forth emails.
Solution
We started with the identity. The logo is based on an isometric cube, the basic shape of 3D modelling, and the blue palette (#2F7DD6, #133E6B, #0B2E55 and #0096D0) recalls technical drawings and blueprints.
We carried the same language over to the website, built in WordPress and Divi 5. A dark blue technical grid, line drawings of structures with dimensions and axis markers, and labels styled like a drawing title block make the site recognisable without generic photos. We organised the content around the questions a client actually asks: what the office does, how the work runs from request to handover, what past work looks like and how to send an enquiry.
Result
BPC received a complete visual identity and a bilingual website in Croatian and German. The site presents the office, its services, way of working and references, and receives enquiries and job applications through forms.
The site has an accessibility statement and works with the keyboard, including the menu, forms and cookie banner. Analytics are only switched on with the visitor's consent.
Key features
Logo and visual identity
The mark is an isometric cube, the basic shape of the 3D modelling the office does. Alongside it we defined a blue palette (#2F7DD6,
Technical graphics instead of photos
The homepage is carried by a line drawing of a steel structure with dimensions and X, Y and Z axis markers on a technical grid. The Services page shows a drawing of a steel plate with holes, dimensions and a scaled title block. The graphics are vector drawings, so they stay sharp on every screen and immediately say what the office does.
Services and way of working
Five services (3D CAD modelling, technical documentation, development of structural solutions, changes and revisions, and external CAD support) are described concretely, with the types of drawings and input data. The collaboration is shown as a numbered sequence of steps on a vertical line, from receiving the request and analysis through the quote, modelling and approval to checking and handing over the documentation.
Croatian and German versions
The whole site is also available in German, with its own menu (Leistungen, Über uns, Referenzen, Karriere) and flag-based language switching in the header. The contact details list both a Croatian and a German phone number.
References
Past work is shown as shop drawings grouped by project, with image paging inside each project. A client can see straight away the level of detail in the documentation they will receive.
Enquiry and job application forms
The contact form takes enquiries for new projects, and the open application form on the “Join us” page accepts a CV (PDF or DOC) and optional work samples (up to 10 MB). Both forms require explicit consent to the processing of personal data.
Accessibility and cookie consent
The site has a published accessibility statement and works with the keyboard, including the dropdown menu, hamburger menu, forms and cookie banner. It also has a side panel with accessibility settings. Google Analytics cookies are only set once the visitor agrees, and the settings can be changed at any time.
