General terms and conditions

1. Parties

Service provider: Media-Met, trade for computer and related activities, Karlovac, Republic of Croatia (hereinafter: "Media-Met")

Client: natural or legal person who orders a service or buys a product (further: "Client")

2. Order and conclusion of contract

The contractual relationship is established:

• By acceptance of the written offer by the Client (email confirmation)
• By paying a deposit or the full amount
• By signing a contract (for larger projects)

Each offer is valid for 15 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.

3. Prices and payment

3.1. Prices

All prices are stated in euros (EUR) excluding VAT. Media-Met is not subject to VAT in accordance with Art. 90. Paragraph 2 of the VAT Act — VAT is not charged.

3.4. Payment delay

In the event of a payment delay of more than 15 days, Media-Met reserves the right to pause work on the project until the debt is settled. For delays of more than 30 days, statutory default interest will apply.

4. Delivery times

Delivery deadlines are agreed upon for each project individually and are indicated in the offer. Deadlines begin to run:

• From the date of deposit payment
• From the day the Client delivers all necessary materials (texts, images, logos, approaches)

Media-Met is not responsible for any delay caused by the Client's untimely delivery of materials.

5. Services by type

5.1. Website creation

• The number of pages, functionality and design iterations is defined in the offer
• The client is entitled to 2 rounds of corrections at no additional cost
• Each additional round of corrections is charged at an hourly rate of 30 EUR/hour
• The client is responsible for the delivery of all text and visual materials within the agreed deadline
• Hosting and domain are not included in the price of creation, unless otherwise indicated
• After delivery, the Client has 7 days to report any errors that are part of the agreed scope — corrections are free of charge

5.2. Visual identity and logo design

• Includes the agreed number of concepts and versions indicated in the offer
• The client is entitled to 2 or more rounds of corrections depending on the chosen model at no additional cost.
• Final materials are delivered in agreed formats (AI, JPG, EPS, PDF, PNG, SVG)
• Copyright to the final design is transferred to the Client upon payment of the full amount.
• Media-Met reserves the right to display the work in its portfolio

5.3. SEO optimization

• SEO results are not guaranteed — search engine positions depend on algorithms that are beyond our control
• Media-Met uses exclusively "white hat" SEO techniques in accordance with search engine guidelines.
• The client is obliged to provide access to the website, Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Cancellation of the current SEO service is possible with a 30-day notice period.

5.4. Website maintenance

• The service renews monthly, automatically until canceled.
• Includes: WordPress, theme and plugin updates, security checks, backups
• Minor content changes (up to 1 hour/month) are included in the basic package
• Major changes are charged separately by arrangement.
• The client must provide admin access to the WordPress site
• Cancellation with 15 days notice before the end of the current month

5.5. Digital products (WordPress plugins)

• Delivered as downloadable files after payment
• Each customer uses their own API key and bears the costs of external services.
• The license is personalized and valid for one domain (except Agency plan)
• Resale or redistribution without permission is prohibited

6. Cancellation and refund

6.1. Client Cancellation

Media-Met reserves the right to cancel the project in the event of:

• Non-payment of deposits or installments on time
• Requests that are contrary to applicable laws or ethical standards
• Inability to cooperate due to obstruction by the Client

In the event of Media-Met's cancellation through no fault of the Client, the deposit will be refunded in full.

7. Copyright and intellectual property

Until the full amount is paid, all created materials remain the property of Media-Met. Upon full payment:

• Websites: The Client gets the right to use — theme code and customization are the property of the Client, used plugins are subject to separate licenses
• Visual identity and logo: Copyright is transferred to the Client
• Text content: If written by Media-Met, copyright is transferred to the Client
• WordPress plugins: Licensed, not sold — see EULA

Media-Met reserves the right to display all created materials in its portfolio, unless the Client expressly requests confidentiality.

8. Liability and warranty

Media-Met guarantees that the services will be provided professionally and in accordance with good professional practice. Media-Met is not responsible for:

• Loss of revenue or business opportunities that may be indirectly caused by a delay in delivery
• Problems caused by changes to the hosting infrastructure, domains or third-party services
• Security vulnerabilities that occurred after delivery due to the client's neglect to update
• Compatibility with future versions of software platforms

9. Confidentiality

Both parties undertake to maintain the confidentiality of business information obtained during the course of the cooperation. This includes access data, business plans and technical information. The obligation of confidentiality remains in force even after the end of the cooperation.

10. Complaints

Complaints are submitted in writing to info@media-met.hr within 7 days of delivery. Media-Met undertakes to respond within 5 working days. We resolve justified complaints with a free correction within a reasonable time.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. The parties will attempt to resolve any disputes amicably. In the event of a court dispute, the competent court in Zagreb shall have jurisdiction.

12. Changes to the terms and conditions

Media-Met reserves the right to change these terms and conditions with prior publication on the website. For existing contracts, the terms and conditions valid at the time of conclusion of the contract shall apply.

These General Terms and Conditions apply from May 2026. Media-Met, Karlovac | media-met.hr
