Divi Full Site Exporter PRO

Package the entire Divi site — design, content, and settings — in a branded installer that your customer launches with one click. Plus export/import for migration and cloning of own sites.

Review

1. Introduction

Divi Full Site Exporter PRO (DFE) packages your entire Divi site — not just layouts. Along with the content comes media, Divi settings, Theme Builder templates, Divi 5 Design System, child themes, and custom CSS.

The plugin has two modes of operation:

  • Generating a branded installer — the main way. You package your site into a standalone plugin that your customer installs with one click and gets a ready-made site. Ideal for selling and delivering ready-made templates and child themes.
  • Export / Import — for migration and cloning of sites that you manage yourself.

Working methods

4. Two modes of operation

After activation, you choose between two cards:

  • Generate Installer — creates a branded installation package for delivery to the customer (section 5).
  • Export / Import — exports a package for self-migration or cloning (sections 9 and 10).
Main way

5. Generating the installer

From your Divi site, you create a product that the customer installs.

  1. Open the Generate Installer tab.
  2. Check what's included in the package: content, media, Divi Theme Options, Library layouts, Divi 5 Design System, Theme Builder templates, child theme , and custom CSS.
  3. Branding: enter the name and, if desired, the logo that is displayed in the installer that the customer sees.
  4. Docs URL / Support URL (optional): URLs of your documentation and support that are embedded as buttons for your end user. White-label — blank by default.
  5. Optionally include image licensing (section 6).
  6. Click Generate . You will get a ZIP — a standalone installation plugin ready to ship.
License protection

6. Image licensing

Stock and unlicensed photos are not legally allowed to be distributed within the theme you are selling. This feature solves that.

  • Before packing, you see a list of all images with thumbnails. By default, they are all marked for replacement — a safe default, nothing gets leaked accidentally.
  • You only uncheck the images that you are allowed to distribute. Unchecked ones are replaced with placeholders of the same dimensions , so the layout remains intact.
  • The placeholder can be a generated gray one or your own (e.g. watermark or "Buy this theme").
  • Plus: check for oversized images and report on unused media.
Topic

7. Child theme and Divi

DFE packages the entire child theme (not juststyle.css ), and when imported it is installed inwp-content/themes/ and activates.

The customer must have their own Divi Divi (parent theme) is premium and not packaged — it may not be redistributed. The customer must have Divi installed. If Divi is not present, the installer imports the content, but does not activate the child theme until the customer installs Divi (and clearly warns them). The customer buys your design and theme, and Divi has its own.

If there is already a theme with the same name on the customer's site, the installer skips it and gives a warning — it does not overwrite it, so as not to destroy the customer's changes.

End user

8. What does your customer do?

The customer does not need Divi Full Site Exporter or any other tool — the generated installer works independently.

  1. It loads and activates the installation plugin you provided.
  2. The installer takes it through the wizard and sets everything: options, child theme, media, Divi settings, content and CSS.
  3. Upon completion, the customer has a site that looks like your demo.

The only requirement is that the customer already has Divi on their website (see section 7).

Migration

9. Export

  1. Open Divi Exporter → Export .
  2. Choose what to export (each section has a toggle):
Section Description
Content Pages, posts, custom post types, taxonomies, metadata
Media All images and files from Media Library + attachment meta
WordPress options General settings, permalinks, widgets, menus
Divi / ET settings Theme Options, Library layouts, colors, presets, portability
Divi 5 Design System Global colors, CSS variables and class presets
Additional CSS Customizer CSS, Divi CSS per page, child theme
Users List of users for reference (without passwords)

Enter a name for the ZIP package, click Start Export , and download the ZIP. Media increases the size of the ZIP — turn it off if you only need the data. The ZIP is deleted from the server after downloading.

Migration

10. Import

  1. On the target WordPress installation, install and activate the plugin.
  2. Open Divi Exporter → Import and upload the ZIP.
  3. Choose what to import (content, media, WP options, Divi settings, CSS). Use the "Overwrite existing" option with caution.
  4. Click Start Import .
Important when importing
  • Page URLs (siteurl ,home ) are never overwritten — there is no risk of breaking the site.
  • Always make a backup before importing.
  • Passwords and authentication data are not imported.

11. Divi 5 Design System

DFE is built for Divi 5 and fully works with its block/JSON format.

  • Automatically exports Divi 5 Design System — global colors, CSS variables, and class presets.
  • Library layouts and Theme Builder templates are exported in Divi 5 block format.
  • When importing, the Design System and templates are returned intact, so the destination site looks like the original.
Updates

12. Automatic updates

  • The check for a new version takes place in the background every 12 hours.
  • When there is a new version, you will see a notification in the Plugins list → click Update , like for any WordPress plugin.
  • Updates only work with an active license.

13. Technical requirements

5.8+ WordPress (6.4+ recommended)
7.4+ PHP (8.0+ recommended)
ZipArchive PHP extension
256 MB PHP memory (recommended)

Questions

14. Frequently asked questions

Does my customer need Divi Full Site Exporter?
Not. The generated installer is self-contained — the customer just activates it and the site is assembled by itself.
Does my customer need Divi installed?
Yes. Divi is not packaged (premium theme), so the customer must have their own Divi. They are buying your design and theme.
Can I include stock photos?
You don't have to distribute them — licensing the images replaces them with placeholders of the same dimensions.
How many domains is the license valid for?
For an unlimited number of domains; renews annually.
Why is ZIP large?
Because it includes all media (uploads folder). Turn off "Media" for a smaller ZIP.
Does it work on Multisite?
Currently only on single-site installations; Multisite support is planned.
Can I use the plugin without Divi?
Yes — WP content, media and options are exported and imported without Divi. Divi-specific options will be empty.
