Project description:
The beauty industry is visually demanding and competitive — professionals choosing a supplier of equipment for their salon expect the supplier to look professional and reliable. M-Format had a well-developed client network and an established distribution role in the market, but without a strong visual identity and modern digital presentation, it could not communicate its position as a premium distributor of top brands in the same way.
The project included two interrelated things — creating a logo that would be the foundation of the company's visual identity, and developing a presentation website that would transfer that identity into the digital sphere and direct visitors to the web shop on a separate platform.

Process
We took on the project in its entirety — from logo design to website development and implementation, including digital accessibility.

Logo design

The logo was the starting point for the entire project, as it was supposed to define the visual language that would then flow throughout the site. The design had to communicate professionalism and reliability — values that are key for a B2B distribution company in the beauty sector — while at the same time being flexible enough to be applied across a variety of media, from digital presentations to packaging and business documentation. The result is a clean, modern logo that reflects the company’s position as a serious and reliable partner for hairdressers and beauticians.

The site was designed and developed in WordPress with a clear purpose — to professionally present the company, its services and range of brands and direct visitors to the web shop where they can view and order products. The architecture of the site is divided into two clear segments according to the target group: hairdressers and beauticians, each with its own overview of relevant product categories and a direct link to the corresponding part of the web shop.
The visual identity of the logo is consistently applied throughout the site — in typography, color palette, and overall feel — ensuring a cohesive and professional brand presence in the digital space.

Digital accessibility

The project included the implementation of digital accessibility in accordance with WCAG guidelines, as confirmed by the Accessibility Statement published on the site. The implementation included semantically correct HTML throughout all page elements, appropriate color contrast that meets the WCAG AA standard, full keyboard navigability, ARIA tags for interactive elements and dynamic content, properly labeled navigation structures, and text alternatives for all visual content including brand logos displayed in the partner gallery. Accessibility, as in previous projects, was integrated into the development from the very beginning — not patched in later — which is the only way to implement it consistently throughout the site.

Responsiveness
The site is fully responsive and adapted to all devices. Considering that hairdressers and beauticians often research the offer of equipment and preparations between clients, on mobile phones, the mobile experience is especially important for this target group.

Challenges

A specific challenge for this project was the dual nature of the task — the logo and the website had to be created as a single entity, not as two separate delivered elements. The visual identity defined by the logo had to be a living thread that runs through every element of the site and gives the company a recognizable and consistent appearance. In addition, the site is not a standalone web shop but a presentation layer leading to a separate e-commerce platform — which required clear and intuitive navigation that would take the visitor from getting to know the company to making a specific purchase on another domain without friction.

Result

A complete visual identity for the company was delivered — a logo and a presentation website that together communicate the professionalism and reliability of M-Format as a premium distributor of equipment for beauty professionals. The website meets WCAG digital accessibility standards, is responsive on all devices, and successfully serves as a digital business card and a conversion bridge to the web shop.
